Hazrat-e-Krishna
The first ever urdu play on the life and times of Shri Krishna, performed in the Dastaangoi form.
Not however, by just one of two actors but by a host of artists.
So as a Dastaangoi too, it is a welcome break from the tradition.
Another unique feature of the play is the portrayal of “Old Krishna” – the central figure of the play reflecting upon his life, thoughts and deeds from his death bed after being struck by the hunter’s arrow.
In the process, the play re-records more than 100 years of the social, spiritual, cultural and political life of ancient India, marked specially for the war of Mahabharata.
