How would you describe your Label Daaj Vari by Sudhanshu Madaan?
It’s a luxury couture label catering to the needs of modern-day women and men who have a taste for Indian heritage craftsmanship. Thus, I define my label as a blend of Modern approach and a traditional heart. Also, the name “Daaj Vari” is a Punjabi word which means “gift to bride”.
Which type of audience/shoppers should definitely visit the Daaj Vari store?
People who are willing to experiment, explore and understand how beautifully Indian craftsmanship can be amalgamated with modern silhouettes.
What type of Collection do you have?
I create Indian and Fusion wear for the vast wedding market along with luxury pret.
What is the price range of your designer outfits?
Pret line starts around 8k and the couture starts at 18k.
How did you end up being a designer?
I’m a Commerce graduate who has always had a thing for fashion and creativity. I’m ex-audit personnel, I used to work with one of the big4 audit firms and a NIFT dropout who gave wings to his long-time dream in 2017.
What is the favorite part of being a fashion designer?
I bring happiness to people’s faces
Which designers have been the biggest influences on you?
I’ve always admired Rohit Bal’s work ever since a little kid. Growing up I started looking up to Zuhair Murad, Ellie Saab and Rahul Mishra

The widespread plagiarism
