How would you describe your Label Karan Arora?

Owing to the experience gained over decades of family businesses in threads and embroidery works, the brand has made unimaginable intricacies and detailing in hand craftsmanship as its core along with hand woven textiles which makes Indian couture exquisite.
We are at constant endeavor reinvent the craft besides keeping its integrity intact. so there are no short cuts, each design frame undergoes months and months of
workmanship.
Our line of couture has deep indulgence with hand workmanships like nakshi Kantha, qashidaqari , Chikan Kari, gara, phulkari and an absolute form of Zardozi on various handwoven textiles like Jamdani, Katan, Tussar silk, cotton, Linens, Malda, Matka Resham, Geeecha Tussar from Bhagalpur in Bihar and Shantipur, Malda, Baluchar in West Bengal.

Which type of audience/shoppers should definitely visit the Karan Arora store?

With the complexity in the depth of the base product which revolves around handloom textiles and intricate regional craftsmanship, the product line around it requires communication of detail education amongst well exposed and mature mindsets who can differentiate and appreciate the labour and time-intensive nature of our base product. There are no rules guiding our design aesthetic, Just an inner indecisiveness in the hues of un-lived past with an absolute love for art and grandeur, our design work is an ultimate reflection of living the glory that is for now and forever. Our analogy intends to compliment the beauty of women than to substitute it with a strong sense of characterisation.

What type of ambiance you have created at your store?

Growing up in the early 90’s and being around Lutyens Delhi, my store takes back in colonial bylanes of the British era in India.

How did you end up being a designer?

I was meant to be doing this, though I have never studied it. Designing is extremely instinctive, effortless and joyful for me, hence me being it could have been the only possibility for me.
