Savorworks Creates History with Double Gold for 85% Dark Chocolate at Indian Craft Chocolate Competition 2026

India’s growing bean-to-bar chocolate industry has a new milestone to celebrate. Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate emerged as one of the biggest winners at the Indian Craft Chocolate Competition 2026, earning Double Gold for its 85% Dark Chocolate—the highest-scoring dark chocolate in the country during this year’s competition.

The event marks a significant moment for India’s craft chocolate industry, serving as the national gateway to the globally renowned International Chocolate Awards. Savorworks’ success highlights the rising quality of Indian-grown cacao and the country’s growing presence in the premium chocolate segment.

A Unique Coffee-Roaster Approach to Chocolate Making

What makes Savorworks stand out is its unconventional approach to chocolate making. Founded as a specialty coffee roastery, the brand applies the same precision used in coffee roasting to cacao beans.
By roasting both coffee and cacao in-house, Savorworks is able to carefully develop flavour profiles while preserving the natural character of each bean. This bean-to-bar philosophy allows the brand to maintain complete control over quality, consistency, and craftsmanship, resulting in chocolates that showcase the true potential of Indian cacao.

Award-Winning Chocolates

Apart from its headline-winning 85% Dark Chocolate, Savorworks received recognition across multiple categories at the competition.

Awards won by Savorworks at the Indian Craft Chocolate Competition 2026:

  • Double Gold – 85% Dark Chocolate (Highest-Scoring Dark Chocolate in India | High % Plain/Origin Dark Chocolate Bars – 85% & Above)
  • Silver – 72% Dark Chocolate – Gin & Tonic (Dark Chocolate Bars with Infusion or Flavouring)
  • Silver – CashewNut Tom Kha Dragée (White Chocolate Dragées – Enrobed Whole Nuts)
  • Bronze – 72% Plain Dark Chocolate (Micro-Batch Plain/Origin Dark Chocolate Bars)

Among its signature creations, the 72% Gin & Tonic Dark Chocolate and CashewNut Tom Kha Dragée reflect the brand’s focus on combining innovative flavours with traditional bean-to-bar craftsmanship.

About Savorworks Coffee & Chocolate

Founded in 2019 by specialty coffee roaster Baninder Singh and chocolatier Paweena Withyasathien Kochar, Savorworks has built its reputation around premium coffee and artisan chocolate made entirely in-house.

The company believes that controlling every stage—from roasting cacao beans to crafting the final chocolate—helps create products that truly express the origin and quality of the ingredients. This philosophy has helped position Savorworks among India’s leading artisan bean-to-bar chocolate makers.

A Milestone for Indian Craft Chocolate

Savorworks’ achievement goes beyond winning medals. It reflects the growing recognition of Indian craft chocolate, the increasing quality of Indian cacao, and the evolution of the country’s bean-to-bar chocolate movement.

As Indian artisan chocolate brands continue to gain international attention, achievements like these showcase how locally crafted chocolates are now competing with some of the world’s finest, setting new benchmarks for premium chocolate made in India.
