For many travellers, an airport journey comes with moments of waiting. Delhi Airport is giving those moments a different dimension with Read@DEL, an initiative that brings the simple pleasure of reading into the travel experience.
Launched on September 24, 2026, Read@DEL is built around a simple idea: bringing a good habit of reading to every journey. The initiative combines a physical Reading Zone with digital access to more than 10,000 magazines and newspapers, giving passengers different ways to discover something to read during their time at the airport.
The initiative was launched by Mr Manomay Rai, Deputy CEO, Delhi Airport, as part of the airport’s efforts to create more engaging and meaningful experiences for passengers.
A little time for reading
The Reading Zone gives passengers an opportunity to step away from the pace of travel for a while and pick up a book. With some time to spare after security and before boarding, passengers can settle in with a good read and make the most of the time before their flight.
The experience is deliberately simple. Passengers can discover the Reading Zone during their time at the airport and make reading part of the time they have before boarding.

For those who prefer reading on their own devices, Read@DEL also brings a much wider digital collection to the airport. QR codes placed across the terminals give passengers access to more than 10,000 magazines and newspapers, covering a wide range of interests.
From news and business to travel, lifestyle, technology and entertainment, the digital collection gives passengers plenty to explore while they wait.
The physical Reading Zone and the digital offering come together to make reading accessible in different ways, depending on how each passenger chooses to spend their time before boarding.

At its heart, Read@DEL is about making room for something that can easily get lost in the pace of everyday travel: time to read.
