Owner: For Earth’s Sake is India’s first zero-waste lifestyle store cum café, based in Gurgaon. Our mission is to reduce waste in terms of single-use plastic and to find sustainable alternatives for all our daily needs and dining out options.

Owner: The Cafe serves continental cuisine which is completely sustainable and made from fresh local ingredients. The whole dish is prepared in-house and nothing comes from a packaged tube or container including the breads, the dips and the other components of the dishes. For Earth’s Sake Cafe also serves a wide variety of coffee-based beverages prepared by well-trained seasoned baristas.

What inspired you to open a cafe?
Owner: The reason behind opening For Earth’s Sake was to have a sustainable planet-friendly alternative for dining out options. I was tired of consuming food with packaged sauces and breads that were mass manufactured. Seasonal ingredients are a very crucial part of the cafe. We do not use any ingredient that is not in season, for example, we will not use frozen strawberries in summer as they are available in the winters.
How did you come up with the name For Earth’s Sake?
Owner: The main goal behind the brand is to reduce the negative effect of our lifestyle on the planet. The way we use products in our daily life or the way we consume our food, the goal was to have a lower impact on the planet. Hence, we are doing it For Earth’s Sake.
