
The eagerly awaited Delhi Literature Festival 2024 (Monsoon Edition) is set to captivate book lovers this weekend. Happening from July 27 to July 28, 2024, at Bikaner House near India Gate, the event runs daily from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with free entry for all.
Day One of Delhi Literature Festival 2024: Saturday, 27th July
The festival begins with an inaugural session featuring distinguished guests. Chief Guest Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Union Minister for Culture & Tourism, will be joined by Guests of Honor including Shri Manoj Tiwari, Hon’ble Member of Parliament; Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney (Padma Shri), Hon’ble Member of Parliament; Entrepreneur, Educationist & Social Worker Sushri Bansuri Swaraj, Hon’ble Member of Parliament; Shri Satish Upadhyay, Hon’ble Vice Chairman, NDMC; Dr. Sachchidanand Joshi, Member Secretary, IGNCA; and Shri Sanjay Mago, CEO of Om Books Group.
The opening day will highlight bestselling books such as “Ayurveda Advantage: An Ancient Science for Modern Living” (Penguin) by Vicram Sharma, and “Ritusamhara” (Bloomsbury) by Abhay K, which explores the monsoon and the six seasons.
The day will also include Hindi poetry sessions hosted by Vani Prakashan, featuring Dr. Deepak Kumar Jaiswal, an author and former bureaucrat. The day concludes with a “Kavi Manch” session, focusing on humorous and monsoon-themed poetry.

Day Two of Delhi Literature Festival 2024: Sunday, 28th July
The second day offers an engaging lineup with discussions on topical subjects. Highlights include “Maya, Modi & Azad: Dalit Politics in the Time of Hindutva” (Harper Collins) by Sudha Pai and Sajjan Kumar, and “Love in the Time of Hate” (Simon & Schuster) by Dr. Rakhshanda Jalil.
A notable session will feature “Leadership Legacy of Narendra Modi” (Penguin) by Dr. R. Balasubramaniam (Balu), a development scholar known for his work with rural and tribal communities, exploring the leadership principles and impact of the Prime Minister.
Author and diplomat Vikas Swarup, renowned for “Slumdog Millionaire,” will discuss his latest bestseller, “The Girl with Seven Lives” (Simon & Schuster), in conversation with Sonia Singh, NDTV media leader and author.
The festival will conclude with an engaging session on “My First Sudha Murty Collection” (Puffin) featuring Mrs. Sudha Murty (Padma Bhushan), an educator, author, philanthropist, and founder of Infosys Foundation. She will be in conversation with Dr. Anurag Batra, Chairman & Editor in Chief of BW Businessworld.
